Our pastor, Chad Pullins, is a man that knows first hand what the power of the love of Jesus Christ can do to transform a broken life into a viable force for the Kingdom of God. Almost 8 years ago, Chad's love affair with drugs, alcohol, money, and sex came to an abrupt halt when his best friend died right next to him on a couch from a drug over dose. During his friend's death, Chad was unable to help because Chad was fighting for his own life. That day marked the ground breaking of building another life upon a solid foundation that could withstand the storms of life.
Since that time Chad has been involved in the work of Jesus throughout the world. God continues to use Chad as an anointed leader within the church and is proof of the power of God's resurrecting grace that is experienced through Jesus Christ. Over the past eight years Chad has led youth, given his testimony to thousands in many different venues, and been the pastor of Faison UMC while attending Duke Divinity School. Through his dedicated servant leadership, many have responded to the grace of Jesus Christ, and accepted God's invitation into the best possible way to live.
Chad continues to be a sought after speaker througout the southeast as he lifts up the cross and invites everyone, everywhere to join God in loving the world to heaven. When asked to describe himself, Chad says, I am a person who deserves to be separated from God for all of eternity but through the grace Jesus Christ I am reconnected with God and transformed into a force for God in the world. If Jesus has a vision for someone like me, the worst of all sinners, then I guarantee Jesus has a vision for your life. Through Jesus Christ, God invites all of us into a life of service, sacrifice, and love and I am convinced that this is the best possible way to live.
Four years ago, God blessed Chad with an amazing wife (Amanda) and son (Jordan: who is 11). Their union is another testimony to God's unfailing commitment to transform our brokenness into wholeness. Since that time they have added two more additions to the family, Cami (who is 3 going on 25) and Lexi (who was born July 2008).
Chad, Amanda, Jordan, and Cami currently live in Fayetteville with the sole purpose of being a part of God's creation of Crossroads United Methodist Church. They are excited about being a part of what God is already doing in Fayetteville and continuing the mission of God in the world.
Chad enjoys dating his wife, having "home run derby's" with Jordan, watching Cami drive her "purple car," burping Lexi, playing golf, mowing the grass, hanging out at coffee shops, playing on facebook and twitter, blogging and being as sarcastic as possible. You can learn more about Chad through facebook, twitter, and through his blog.
